EPS prepared a Comprehensive Housing PolicyFramework that laid out 5 overarching issue areas, 11 policy priorities, and 24 action strategies to address problems from workforce housing needs to supportive services to the prevention of displacement and gentrification. This process was guided by an appointed five-member Mayor’s Housing Policy Task Force (MHPTF) and robust public engagement that EPS facilitated. Following adoption of the housing policy framework, EPS and the City’s Housing and Neighborhood Services Department jointly developed the City’s Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP) that will guide the City's efforts and investments in housing over the next 10 years.
