Lohita Turlapati is passionate about promoting equitable urban development and enhancing community economic resilience. Her experience covers a wide range of areas, including urban planning and design, policy implementation, government program management, and economic development. Lohita has played a key role in various projects, including neighborhood revitalization, waterfront development, municipal service delivery, zoning and economic strategies, market and demographic studies, and clean technology initiatives.
With professional experience in both India and the US, Lohita brings a valuable international perspective to her work. She joined EPS in 2024 and holds a Master’s degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NMIMS University. She is currently serving on the Board of the American Planning Association, Los Angeles chapter.
Outside of work, Lohita enjoys reading, exploring cities, binge-watching TV shows, playing cards, and board games with friends and family.
