EPS led the master plan effort for development of an innovation district on the near eastside of Downtown in San Antonio. TRTF has created a business incubator and accelerator in the district to spur growth of biosciences companies. TRTF aims to catalyze a larger innovation district around its campus through partnerships with bioscience research institutions. Most notably is the effort to locate Department of Defense research on casualty care and regenerative medicine within the innovation district. EPS developed a land use and real estate development strategy for TRFT to guide its efforts and to support the formation of improvement districts in partnership with the City of San Antonio.
